Cyanotype

This series focuses on experimentation with the alternative processes with cyanotype sun prints. Blue represents the sky and the sea, and it is associated with intuition, imagination, and inspiration. These prints are made by using a photo negative or objects placed directly on watercolor paper and exposed to ultraviolet light. Many images were dipped in natural botanical toners to receive darker, richer colors and then hand painted with gum bichromate or watercolors.
