Cyanotype Image Prints
Cyanotype photography is a camera-less technique that involves laying a large negative on chemically treated paper and exposing it to UV light (the sun!) to produce stunning Prussian blue images. I also tone the prints in black tea to produce richer, darker colors in shades of deep blue and brown. Some of my prints are hand colored.

Cyanotype Photograms + Cyanotype Collage
Cyanotype photography is a camera-less technique that involves laying objects on chemically treated paper and exposing it to UV light (the sun!) to produce stunning Prussian blue images. I also tone the prints in black tea to produce richer, darker colors in shades of deep blue and brown. Some of my prints are hand colored. Others are wet cyanotype by spraying vinegar and soap bubbles and adding turmeric or paprika.

Printmaking: Transfer of shapes and images that are pressed into paint and applied onto paper or fabric.
Water Marbling: For these creations, the water is treated with a special medium that thickens just enough to use lightweight acrylic paints or inks to dip and swirl patterns directly onto the water’s surface.
Collage: Pieces of paper, photographs, and other ephemera are arranged and stuck down onto a supporting surface. In some cases, discarded cyanotype prints are repurposed and cut into shapes or used as a background.
