Cyanotype

Picasso's Blue Period is about a somber mood and prominent use of the color blue. My take on the Blue Period is energized by my experimentation with the cyanotype process. The color blue represents the sky and the sea, and it is associated with intuition, imagination, and inspiration. These cyanotype photographs are made by using a photo negative layered with objects directly on watercolor paper, and then hey are exposed to ultraviolet light, the sun. No two prints are the same.
